The practice of money politics can be detrimental to healthy democratic principles. General elections that are supposed to reflect the will of the people can be distorted due to unhealthy financial influences, which in the end can harm the quality of political representation.

Praktik politik uang dapat merugikan prinsip-prinsip demokrasi yang sehat. Pemilihan umum yang seharusnya mencerminkan kehendak rakyat bisa terdistorsi karena pengaruh finansial yang tidak sehat, yang pada akhirnya dapat merugikan kualitas representasi politik.
