The Makassar Digital Dictionary is a “living” document produced in collaboration between Rumata' Artspace - BASAibu - Language Center of South Sulawesi Province, Agency for Language Development and Coaching, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, and Makassarese people around the world. This dictionary is part of the BASASulsel Wiki program under BASAibu Wiki. The community is an important part of this dictionary as a contributor in adding new lema (vocabulary), improving word classes, adding example sentences in accordance with the context, and so on so that this dictionary becomes “alive”. The Makassar Digital Dictionary is sourced from the Indonesia-Makassar Dictionary Revised Edition (2023) compiled and published by the Language Center of South Sulawesi Province.
