In the decision-making process, it should be able to reach all elements of society, if the younger generation does not participate in the process, the validation of the policies taken will decrease. The participation of today's young generation who are increasingly active in the world of politics is progress. Where previously, the younger generation was known for its passive nature towards politics, this is now increasingly shifting for the better. Thus, the position of young people as holders of the leadership baton is increasingly recognized as important by the older generation. It is not surprising that there are many presidential candidates or legislative candidates who bring visions and missions that are closely related to issues that are often used by young people, for example, peace, gender equality, environmental awareness or human rights protection with the aim of getting the sympathy and attention of the younger generation. Not only as a political object, now many young generations are also taking part in candidacy at both regional and central government levels. The existence of this phenomenon proves that the scope of participation of the younger generation is no longer limited to the campus or informal community and organization level but is starting to expand into formal departments. The political participation of the younger generation is not without reason, the various factors that influence the emergence of political awareness are quite varied. These include individual experience or ability, a high level of concern for the fate of the people, or simply because they have privileges from their parents. These internal and external factors produce significant new trends among young people. Meanwhile, what is currently being discussed quite a lot is a group of top artists whose average age is under 30 years, who have directly declared themselves to be taking part in the DPR/DPRD candidacy. The existence of this phenomenon is quite a highlight, many people are questioning the capabilities and abilities of artists whose backgrounds have nothing to do with the world of politics. The public perspective is formed naturally due to the discontinuity that occurs plus the participation that is carried out is only a formality and does not show any real concern.
Thus, the term politics of existence emerged from a negative perspective. Where politics is seen as a tool to raise the social level in society. The reasons for politics cannot be reduced to pure reasons. Behind political involvement there are personal reasons that underlie individual participation. However, it is unethical for someone to act in the name of people's welfare for personal satisfaction. Politics and young people are progress, unfortunately, politics that is not balanced with manners and knowledge is a setback. The younger generation who should be involved in educational politics and be able to influence other young generations instead lack insight and are hungry for popularity. This is very worrying because the electability of the younger generation is currently wide open as well as the trust of the older generation and society is also very strong, however, there are still some individuals who see this as an opportunity to enrich themselves.In Indonesian
Berdasarkan fenomena yang ditemui penulis dalam kehidupan sehari - hari banyak hal menarik terkait politik dan anak muda yang sekarang menjadi tren. Baik dan buruk pembaca punya jawaban masing - masing.
Dalam proses pengambilan keputusan patutnya dapat menjangkau seluruh elemen masyarakat, apabila generasi muda tidak ikut dalam proses tersebut maka berkurangnya validasi dari kebijakan yang diambil. Partisipasi generasi muda dewasa ini yang semakin aktif di dunia politik adalah sebuah kemajuan. Dimana sebelumnya, generasi muda terkenal dengan sifat pasifnya terhadap politik kini kian bergeser kearah yang lebih baik. Dengan demikian, posisi anak muda sebagai pemegang tongkat estafet kepemimpinan makin disadari penting oleh generasi tua. Tak heran, banyak ditemui Capres ataupun calon legislatif yang membawa visi dan misi yang sangat berkaitan dengan issue yang sering digunakan oleh anak muda contohnya, perdamaian, kesetaraan gender, kepedulian lingkungan atau perlindungan HAM yang bertujuan untuk mendapat simpatik dan perhatian generasi muda. Bukan hanya sebagai objek politik kini generasi muda juga banyak mengikutsertakan diri apada pencalonan baik tingkat daerah maupun pusat pemerintahan. Adanya fenomena ini membuktikan ruang lingkup partisipasi generasi muda tidak lagi sebatas dilevel kampus maupun informal komunitas dan organisasi namun, mulai berkembang masuk ke departemen formal. Partisipasi politik generasi muda bukan tanpa alasan, berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi munculnya kesadaran politik cukup variatif. Diantaranya, pengalaman atau kemampuan individu, tingkat kepedulian tinggi terhadap nasib rakyat, atau sesederhana karena memiliki privilege dari orang tua. Faktor internal dan eksternal tersebut menghasilkan tren baru dikalangan anak muda yang cukup signifikan. Adapun, yang saat ini cukup banyak diperbincangkan adalah sekelompok artis papan atas yang rata-rata berusia dibawah 30 tahun secara langsung mendeklarasikan diri ikut serta dalam pencalonan DPR/DPRD. Adanya fenomena ini cukup menjadi sorotan, banyak orang yang mempertanyakan kapabilitas dan kemampuan artis yang latar belakangnya tidak ada sangkut pautnya dengan dunia politik. Perspektif public terbentuk secara alamiah dikarenakan adanya ketidaksinambungan yang terjadi ditambah partisipasi yang dilakukan hanya sebatas formalitas dan tidak menunjukkan adanya kepedulian yang nyata.
Dengan demikian, muncullah istilah politik eksistensi dalam perspektif negative. Dimana politik dipandang sebagai alat untuk menaikkan level sosial dalam masyarakat. Alasan berpolitik memang tidak bisa direduksi menjadi alasan yang murni. Dibalik keterlibatan politik terdapat alasan alasan personal yang mendasari partisipasi individu. Namun, tidaklah etis apabila seseorang mengatasnamakan kesejahteraan rakyat demi untuk kepuasan pribadi. Politik dan anak muda adalah kemajuan sayangnya, politik yang tidak diimbangi dengan adab dan ilmu merupakan kemunduran. Generasi muda yang seharusnya berpolitik edukasi dan dapat mempengaruhi generasi muda lainya malah defisit wawasan dan haus popularitas. Hal ini sangatlah memprihatinkan sebab elektabilitas generasi muda saat ini sudah terbuka lebar begitu juga kepercayaan generasi tua dan masyarakat pun juga sangat kuat namun, masih ada beberapa oknum yang melihat hal ini sebagai kesempatan untuk memperkaya diri sendiri.In Makassar
