When talking about elections, we are talking about politics, politics nowadays or the Z generation era, has become a stage for young people to participate in the democratic party. As one of the young people who is active in discussing political issues, the author believes that the role of young people is very important in voicing political issues, especially in the upcoming 2024 General Election. Youth can be considered as a crucial actor in voicing political issues in society. In fact, the current digital era has become a stage for young people to come up with innovations and creative ideas related to positive politics and elections. A small example that can be the role of youth is by filtering and spreading positive political issues on various social media platforms, with the aim of voicing the voices of youth who are unable to be heard by state officials and even people's representatives who should represent the people, such as these millennial youths.
Apart from that, there are several young people who have relatively primitive methods by taking to the streets (anarchic demonstrations to the destruction of public facilities) as a form of participation and caring about political issues in government, so that they can be directly heard by political actors in government. However, this is considered a form of apathetic youth behavior. So, as a young person who does not agree with this, the author can give advice, that in voicing opinions and playing a role in political matters, you don't have to do that, but by holding national seminars, focus group discussions involving political actors and high-ranking government officials, so that the opinions of young people, especially millennial children, will be more easily heard and more focused on their goals without harming other levels of society.In Indonesian
Berbicara mengenai pemilu maka kita berbicara terkait dengan politik, politik pada zaman sekarang atau zamannya generasi Z, menjadi panggung bagi pemuda berpartisipasi dalam pesta demokrasi. Sebagai salah satu pemuda yang aktif dalam diskusi isu politik, maka penulis beranggapan bahwa peran pemuda sangat penting dalam menyuarakan isu-isu politik khususnya pada Pemilihan Umum 2024 mendatang. Pemuda dapat dianggap sebagai bagian aktor krusial menyuarakan isu politik ditengah masyarakat. Bahkan, diera digital saat ini menjadi panggung bagi pemuda dalam memunculkan inovasi dan ide-ide kreatif terkait dengan politik dan pemilu yang positif. Contoh kecil yang dapat menjadi peran pemuda yakni dengan memfilter dan menyebarkan isu politik yang positif di berbagai platform media sosial, dengan tujuan menyuarakan suara pemuda yang tidak memungkinkan terdengar pada petinggi negara bahkan wakil-wakil rakyat yang seharusnya mewakili rakyat seperti pemuda-pemuda milenial tersebut.
Disamping itu, terdapat beberapa pemuda yang memiliki cara yang tergolong primitif dengan turun ke jalan (demonstrasi yang anarkis hingga pengrusakan fasilitas umum) sebagai bentuk partisipasi hingga peduli terhadap isu politik di pemerintahan, agar dapat secara langsung terdengar oleh aktor politik di pemerintahan. Tetapi, hal tersebut dianggap sebagai bentuk perilaku pemuda yang apatis. Sehingga, sebagai pemuda yang tidak setuju dengan hal tersebut maka, penulis dapat memberikan saran, bahwa dalam menyuarakan pendapat dan berperan dalam hal politik tidak harus melakukan hal demikian, tetapi dengan membuat acara seminar nasional, fokus grup diskusi yang melibatkan aktor politik hingga petinggi pemerintahan, agar pendapat pemuda khususnya anak milenial akan lebih mudah terdengar dan semakin terarah tujuannya tanpa merugikan lapisan masyarakat yang lain.In Makassar
