What would you do with the refugees coming to your place from conflict-prone areas, such as with what's currently happening in Ukraine?

As we know there has been a fire accident in one of the Police Dormitory on Veteran street on Wednesday last month to be exact on April 20, 2022. This incident scorched approximately 32 tenements. This is thought to have been caused by the explosion of the gas stove leaking and causing an explosion.

Based on the information from witnesses, the explosion occurred at around five o'clock before breaking the fast. This caused several victims who were exposed to fire and suffered minor injuries and had to be rushed to Bayangkara Hospital for medical treatment. Fortunately there were no casualties in this incident. Therefore, many victims of the incident were forced to evacuate to a safer place. Some of the victims fled to their families' homes and some took refuge at the refugee camps. As form of my empathy, I try to raise funds for the fire victims. The proceeds from this fundraising will be used to purchase basic necessities such as rice, instant noodles, eggs and others. Also my form of empathy is donating clothes that are suitable for use and other items such as stationery for victims who are still in school. In addition, I empathize with giving medicines to the fire victims just in case one of the victims has an acute illness such as asthma and others. Also drugs such as bandages and betadine for minor wounds.

By helping refugees who have experienced calamity such as this fire plague, we can strengthen the sense of humanity that exists within us. And with this assistance, I hope that the victims can recover physically and mentally quickly so that they can return to their normal activities. Let's care for each other on the basis of humanity.

Seperti yang kita ketahui telah terjadi musibah kebakaran di salah satu Asrama Polisi Jl. Veteran pada Rabu bulan lalu tepatnya pada tanggal 20 April 2022. Kejadian ini menghanguskan kurang lebih sebanyak 32 rumah petak. Hal ini diduga diakibatkan oleh ledakan gas kompor mengalami kebocoran dan menyebabkan terjadinya ledakan.

Berdasarkan informasi dari saksi, ledakan terjadi pada sekitar pukul lima menjelang buka puasa. Hal ini menyebabkan beberapa korban yang sempat terkena api dan mengalami luka ringan hingga harus dilarikan ke Rumah Sakit Bayangkara guna mendapat perawatan. Untungnya tidak ada korban jiwa pada kejadian ini. Maka dari itu banyak korban kejadian tersebut terpaksa harus mengungsi ke tempat yang lebih aman. Sebagian korban mengungsi ke rumah keluarganya dan sebagian mengungsi di posko pengungsian. Sebagai bentuk empati saya berusaha untuk melakukan penggalangan dana untuk para korban kebakaran. Hasil penggalangan dana ini akan digunakan untuk membeli bahan sembako seperti beras, mie instan, telur dan lain-lain. Juga bentuk empati saya adalah menyumbangkan pakaian layak pakai dan barang lain seperti alat tulis untuk korban yang masih bersekolah. Selain itu, saya berempati untuk memberikan obat-obatan kepada korban kebakaran tersebut untuk berjaga-jaga jika ada salah satu korban yang mengalami penyakit akut seperti asma dan lainnya. Juga obat-obatan seperti plester luka dan betadine untuk luka-luka kecil.

Dengan menolong para pengungsi yang mengalami musibah seperti musibah kebakaran ini, dapat memperkuat rasa kemanusiaan yang ada pada diri kita. Dan dengan adanya bantuan-bantuan tersebut saya berharap korban bisa lekas pulih secara fisik maupun mental sehingga dapat beraktivitas kembali seperti biasanya. Mari peduli terhadap sesama atas dasar kemanusiaan.
