BASASulsel is an innovative culture and communication-based digital platform that developed from BASAbali Wiki and BASAibu’s 2019 initiative. Two years later, BASASulsel Wiki started collaborating with Makassar International Writers Festival and Rumata' ArtSpace. This program aims to contribute to involving young people in political issues to improve the welfare and livability of the city where millennials and gen-Z live. It also strives to build awareness to preserve regional languages so that they remain strong and sustainable. Wikithons provide opportunities for young people to give their provide input and responses to public issues through the basasulselwiki.org platform, where possible in the local language.
