Peppek bananas are bananas whose skin has been peeled first and fried until reddish in color, after which they go through the process of pounding the bananas. This is what is meant by using the word "peppe" in banana. Pounded bananas are fried again until they feel hard and crunchy.

pisang peppek adalah Pisang yang sudah dikupas kulitnya terlebih dahulu digoreng sampai berwarna kemerah-merahan, sesudah itu melalui proses penumbukan pisang. Inilah yg dimaksud menggunakan kata "peppe" dalam pisang. Pisang yang ditumbuk digoreng balik sampai berasa keras dan kriuk.
