In my view, the trend among the younger generation today is quite concerning. The pride in using popular language, especially what is now called "Gen Alpha language," seems to be overshadowing the position of regional languages, which actually hold deeper cultural value. On one hand, I understand that young people want to express themselves and feel relevant to their surroundings, but on the other hand, there is a worry that pride in regional languages is gradually fading.
As a generation that should be the guardians of cultural heritage, we tend to neglect regional languages, even considering them outdated. In reality, regional languages are not just a means of communication; they are also a way to understand cultural roots, customs, and values passed down by our ancestors. If regional languages disappear, we lose an important connection to our history and identity.
I rarely see local leaders paying serious attention to the decline in regional language speakers. Perhaps this issue is seen as less urgent compared to economic or infrastructure development. However, I believe that cultural diversity, including language, should be a priority. When managed properly, local culture and language can become assets that support tourism development and strengthen regional identity both nationally and internationally.
To keep regional languages alive, collaboration among various parties is necessary, including the government, cultural communities, and the younger generation itself. Engaging and relevant socialization must be done, such as integrating regional languages into social media content or creative works that appeal to young people. Local leaders should also be bold in championing programs to preserve regional languages, not just as a formality, but as a long-term commitment.
In this way, regional languages will not merely become relics of the past but will continue to live and thrive alongside modernization. +
The issue that should be a priority for prospective leaders in this country, which is most often felt by me is the lack of infrastructure and public transportation. Why? I take an example of the road I take from home to school which is not good, there are still many other problems related to infrastructure and transportation that I experience... FYI I live in a big city, where the work of the government/regional heads should be more secure and fast. . Until now, I feel that the solution/assistance provided to the government has not yet arrived/been felt. I hope that the issues or problems I have presented can be heard and taken into consideration. Thank you. +

My response is that the regional head builds roads that are more suited to dense transportation capacity so that traffic jams can be avoided and students who want to go to school are not late because of the traffic jams. +
I hope that the candidate for regent who will become the regent from 2025 to 2030 will bring change to our region, Gowa Regency.
What I expect is a solution to the traffic congestion at the twin bridges in Gowa Regency, which is the connecting road from Makassar to Limbung and vice versa. Traffic jams frequently occur on this bridge.
Additionally, I hope the future regent of Gowa will address the condition of the damaged roads in Gowa Regency, as there are still many roads that are in poor condition.
I also hope that this upcoming regent will be better and that Gowa Regency will progress further, and help the people of Gowa by providing social assistance programs such as BANSOS (Social Assistance) and PKH (Family Hope Program).
Thank you. That is all I have to say about the current situation in Gowa Regency. +

environment, is one of the things that must be considered especially in a region, related to the environment can involve comfort, health and beauty for a region, I raise this issue, because looking at the current situation, there are many areas that are not maintained in terms of cleanliness and comfort. I hope that the regional head will hold, clean up every Sunday/month, and also plant trees in the environment regularly, to reduce the current warming and also add shade and beauty to the environment. +

Regional head candidates are required to pay attention to security issues such as those related to crime or natural disasters, for example floods and theft, and other examples. Before becoming a regional head candidate, he must be able to pay attention to these matters because the lower classes really need security and welfare for their lives. +
Protecting the environment and managing natural resources is one of the important priority issues for regional head candidates because this is directly related to the sustainability of human life, ecosystems and the health of the Earth. A healthy and clean environment will contribute to public health and also support biodiversity, which is very important for maintaining ecosystem balance and is important for the lives of other creatures. Each species has an important role in maintaining natural stability, for example in plant pollination, pest control and nutrient recycling. When species become extinct or threatened with extinction, this can cause ecosystem damage that has direct impacts on humans, such as reduced agricultural yields or damage to natural resources. So, if regional head candidates pay less attention to the environment, pollution and environmental damage will occur, which will then have a negative impact on public health and be detrimental to the local economy. Poor environmental management can also increase the risk of infectious diseases, such as malaria and dengue fever, caused by changes in ecosystems. Not only that, there are also important priorities that regional head candidates must focus on, namely the management of natural resources such as clean water, healthy air, energy and food, which are basic needs for human survival. Without good management, these resources can be depleted or polluted, which can lead to food, water and energy crises. For example, water pollution or damage to marine ecosystems can threaten fish supplies and agriculture.
Therefore, it is important for regional head candidates to focus on the issues above because protecting the environment and managing natural resources wisely are important steps to create a healthier, fairer and more sustainable world. This is not only about preserving nature for our own benefit, but also for future generations and the well-being of the entire society. +
In my opinion, the priority issues for a regional leader should be improving public services, addressing infrastructure development, and ensuring equitable access to education and healthcare. It's also important to focus on transparency and environmental sustainability to support long-term development. +
In everyday life in recent years, Indonesian people usually use public transportation such as taxis, public transportation and motorcycle taxis. However, due to technological advances and flexibility issues, many Indonesian people have begun to turn away from traditional public transportation and switch to vehicles that can be accessed online and are easy to reach. With this technology, Indonesian people who are public transportation drivers have difficulty earning income.
The government should pay more attention to the livelihoods of the community, such as public transportation because this is one of the livelihoods that is in great demand by the community. The government may be able to create a special application for this public transportation so that it is more in demand and glanced at by the general public.
