Generation Z is one of the voter groups for the 2024 election, namely generation Z or i-generation. Generation Z or often referred to as gen Z is an election asset with a large population and the deciding vote with the highest vote composition in the 2024 election.

 If it is related to the implementation of the 2024 elections, of course the role of generation Z cannot be underestimated.  It could even be said that generation Z will have a big influence on the votes won by contestants in the 2024 election.  One reason is because the number of generation Z is very large, up to 40 percent of the population of Indonesia.

 In terms of political participation, generation Z is very substantial because as a percentage of the number of voters, the millennial generation will contribute a lot of votes in the 2024 elections.  Generation Z has its own influence in elections. Apart from being quite large in number, Generation Z also lives in the information era where everything uses the internet or online media.

 Gen Z itself is a separate group from the millennial generation or generation Y, where generation Z was born in the period 1996 – 2009. This group is a very young generation and is up to date with information spread in mass media and the internet.

 Apart from that, this generation has the character of liking digital technology, being flexible, smarter and tolerant of differences.  But on the other hand, they also have bad habits, such as preferring instant culture and being less sensitive to private essences. The younger generation is often considered to be the group of people who are most indifferent or indifferent to political issues.  In fact, they often experience a disconnect with their community, who are not interested in the political process and political issues, who have a low level of trust in politicians and are cynical about various political institutions and government. These characteristics influence the values, views and goals of life, including attitudes and perspectives.  which affects their role in the 2024 elections.
  Elections are the heart of democracy to realize people's sovereignty.  Therefore, generation Z has an important role in implementing this sovereignty by participating politically through general elections held by the government.

 One form of participation is choosing a leader figure who is able to bring about change, is popular and free from corruption.  And what is no less important for generation Z is to see the track record and achievements of each candidate.
 So that the elections that are held really bring change and have an impact on improving people's welfare significantly.  Gen Z with collective consciousness has a huge responsibility in making the right political choices without being influenced by propaganda and political rhetoric for personal interests.

Access to broad political information is a means to digest good choices to maintain a healthy democratic spirit. Understand every opinion from social media networks and open a harmonious digital discussion space. Because whether they like it or not, whether they like it or not, generation Z will become part of this nation's political democracy one after another.

Generasi Z menjadi salah satu kelompok pemilih Pemilu 2024 tersebut, yakni generasi Z atau i-generation. Generasi Z atau kerap yang sering disebut sebagai gen Z merupakan aset pemilu dengan populasi penduduk yang besar serta suara penentu kemenangan dengan komposisi suara tertinggi dalam Pemilu 2024.

Jika dikaitkan dengan pelaksanaan Pemilu 2024, tentunya peranan dari generasi Z tidak bisa dipandang sebelah mata. Bahkan boleh dikatakan bahwa generasi Z akan sangat berpengaruh terhadap kemenangan suara para kontestan Pemilu 2024 nanti. Salah satu alasannya ialah karena jumlah dari generasi Z sangat banyak, bisa sampai 40 persen dari jumlah penduduk negara Indonesia.

Dalam hal partisipasi politik, generasi Z sangat substansial karena dalam presentase jumlah pemilih generasi milenial banyak menyumbangkan suara di Pemilu 2024 nantinya. Generasi Z memiliki pengaruh tersendiri dalam pemilu selain karena jumlahnya yang cukup banyak, generasi Z juga hidup pada era informasi di mana segala sesuatunya menggunakan internet atau media online.

Gen Z sendiri satu kelompok terpisah dari generasi milenial atau generasi Y, dimana generasi Z lahir dalam rentang tahun 1996 – 2009. Kelompok ini termasuk generasi yang sangat muda dan up to date terhadap informasi yang tersebar di media massa dan internet.

Selain itu, generasi ini mempunyai karakter menyukai teknologi digital, fleksibel, lebih cerdas, dan toleran pada perbedaan. Tetapi di lain sisi mereka juga memliki kebiasaan kurang baik, seperti lebih senang dengan budaya instan dan kurang peka terhadap esensi privat.generasi muda sering dianggap menjadi kelompok masyarakat yang paling tidak peduli atau acuh tak acuh dengan masalah politik. Bahkan, sering kali mengalami putus hubungan dengan komunitasnya yang tidak berminat pada proses politik dan persoalan politik, yang memiliki tingkat kepercayaan rendah pada politisi serta sinis terhadap berbagai lembaga politik dan pemerintahan Karakteristik tersebut berpengaruh terhadap nilai – nilai pandangan dan tujuan hidup termasuk sikap dan cara pandang yang mempengaruhi peran mereka di pemilu 2024.
 Pemilu adalah jantung demokrasi untuk mewujudkan kedaulatan rakyat. Oleh sebab itu, generasi Z memiliki peran penting dalam melaksanakan kedaulatan tersebut dengan ikut berpartisipasi secara politik melalui pemilihan umum yang di selenggarakan pemerintah.

Salah satu bentuk berpartisipasi tersebut yakni, memilih figur pemimpin yang mampu membawa perubahan, merakyat, dan bebas dari korupsi. Dan yang tidak kalah penting bagi generasi Z melihat track record dan prestasi dari masing-masing kandidat.
Agar pemilu yang di laksanakan benar-benar membawa perubahan dan berdampak pada peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat secara signifikan. Gen Z dengan kesadaran kolektif memiliki tanggung jawab yang sangat besar dalam menentukan pilihan politik yang tepat tanpa di pengaruhi oleh propaganda dan retorika politik demi kepentingan pribadi.

Akses informasi politik yang luas menjadi sarana untuk mencerna pilihan yang baik untuk menjaga marwah demokrasi sehat. Memahami setiap opini dari jejaring media sosial dan membuka ruang diskusi digital yang harmonis. Karena mau tidak mau dan suka tidak suka generasi Z akan menjadi bagian dari demokrasi politik bangsa ini secara berturut-turut.
