Unfortunately, many people focus more on external achievements—career, appearance, or social validation—without realizing that internal balance is far more important.
Research from Harvard shows that 90% of a person’s happiness does not solely depend on external factors but on how they manage stress and emotions. Additionally, chronic stress that is not properly managed can increase the risk of various physical illnesses, such as heart disease and diabetes, according to the American Psychological Association. This means that taking care of mental health is not just about emotions but also about overall physical well-being.
Building a strong mind does not mean avoiding problems but learning to face them wisely. Some effective ways to achieve this include practicing mindfulness, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and surrounding oneself with a supportive social environment.
