Regional Head Candidates need to prioritize:
1. Pancasila Democracy: Indonesia's political system is based on Pancasila, which emphasizes the principles of deliberation for consensus and togetherness in differences.
2. Presidential Government System: Indonesia implements a presidential system, where the president functions as head of state and head of government. The president is elected directly by the people.
3. Political Parties: There are various political parties that compete in elections, such as the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Gerindra Party, Golkar Party, Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), and others.
4. Elections: General elections are held periodically to elect the president, vice president, members of the DPR, DPD and DPRD. Elections are held every five years.
5. People's Representative Council (DPR): The legislative institution which plays a role in making laws, supervising the government, and preparing the state budget. The DPR consists of members elected through elections.
6. Regional Representative Council (DPD): Institution that represents regional interests in policy making at the national level. The DPD is also directly elected by the people.
7. Constitutional Court (MK): An institution that plays a role in maintaining the constitution, including deciding disputes over election results, reviewing laws against the 1945 Constitution, and handling disputes over the authority of state institutions.- Affiliation
