Sport Facilities
This is a Response to the Pemuda Bersuara Berdaya wikithon
In my opinion, sports facilities in this city are very limited and require serious attention. One of the main problems is the lack of a stadium that meets FIFA standards, which is crucial for supporting the development of football and providing a proper venue for official matches. As we know, the pride of Makassar, Mattoangin Stadium, has been demolished due to plans for renovation by the government, but so far, there has been no clear progress. In addition, the existing swimming pools do not meet FINA standards, making it difficult for swimmers to train optimally. The training fields are also inadequate and far from FIFA standards, which certainly affects the quality of training and athlete development in various sports. The lack of these facilities hinders the potential of sports in the city and makes it difficult for local athletes to compete at the national and international levels. Just look at South Sulawesi's position in the PON Sumut standings, which is far below expectations. The government and relevant parties need to immediately improve and upgrade these facilities so that sports in our city can develop more effectively.
