First-time voters are an important group in the democratic process because they are individuals who are taking part in an election for the first time. First-time voters have the potential to have a big influence on elections. If they actively participate, their votes can determine the outcome of an election. Some views note that first-time voters may be more susceptible to external influences, such as social media, celebrities or certain groups. Therefore, it is important for them to develop critical and independent abilities in assessing information. First-time voters may face challenges in identifying the political issues most relevant to them. A deeper understanding of these issues can help them make more informed decisions. First-time voters who feel that their political participation has had a positive impact are more likely to remain involved in the political process in the future. Therefore, providing positive experiences to first-time voters can form political participation habits. There is a view that encouraging the active participation of first-time voters involves further efforts in providing easy-to-understand information, increasing accessibility to polling stations, and designing political education campaigns that appeal to them. It is important for first-time voters to have awareness of their rights and responsibilities in the democratic process. They need to realize that their vote has an impact, and by exercising their right to vote, they contribute to shaping the future of the country. It is important to remember that first-time voters are a heterogeneous group, and opinions about them may vary depending on local social, political and cultural contexts. Encouraging informed and responsible political participation from first-time voters is a key aspect of strengthening democracy.  +
February 21 was the International Mother Language Day. Mother tongue in the Indonesian context includes regional languages and Indonesian which also acts as the national language. Well, for Indonesian, it may not be foreign to our ears. Because Indonesian is the language we speak everyday. However, the point of the problem is the use of regional languages. Regional languages are now increasingly foreign spoken and recognized in everyday life. For this reason, it is necessary to have a movement from the younger generation as the nation's successor in preserving regional languages. Like the Bugis language which is increasingly unknown to millennials. Bugis language is one of the languages of the Austronesian language family used by the Bugis tribe. Bugis speakers generally live in South Sulawesi. The speakers are mainly in Maros Regency, Pangkajene Regency and Islands, Barru Regency, Majene Regency, Luwu Regency, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, Soppeng Regency, Wajo Regency, Bone Regency, Sinjai Regency, Pinrang . some areas in Enrekang Regency, Majene Regency, and Bulukumba Regency. But the growing era of millennials, they don't know what Bugis language is, so this has triggered the extinction of the Bugis language among millennials. To deal with this, the steps that can be taken are: 1. Forming a local language learning community 2. The spirit of learning the Bugis language 3. Make works or writings using Bugis language 4. Make a tutorial in learning the Buginese language 5. Get used to speaking Bugis in everyday life.  +
Today the Indonesian people commemorate a heroic event and become one of the historic moments, namely Heroes' Day. Heroes' Day, November 10 to commemorate the battle to expel the invaders in the city of Surabaya led by Bung Tomo. The Battle of Surabaya became one of the biggest battles after the independence of the Republic of Indonesia. Bung Tomo, through his speech, ignited the spirit of the Indonesian people to fight to determine their future, with the motto "freedom or death"! The spirit of patriotism and sacrifice of the heroes above became an inspiration in facing challenges and building the Indonesian nation. As a great nation, we should respect the services of the heroes as stated by President Soekarno "A great nation is a nation that respects the services of its heroes". The main respect, besides praying for them, is to inherit their patriotic spirit in facing challenges and building Indonesia  +

Our Hands, as seen in the picture, you can see lots of hand stamps with various paint colors. How exciting if our hands are used to create. Many positive things can be done with our two hands. However, in this day and age the flow of association is increasingly widespread and increasingly dangerous, there are many incitements that can pull us in a negative direction. Like smoking, many young people are even classified as underage and dare to smoke. Many teenagers now vent their feelings through smoking, even though there are many positive activities that can be done with both hands. Basically, it all depends on " Angan Tangan". It all depends on our hands in the direction, whether it leads to positive things or negative things.  +
Smoker Rate Increases Due to Policy Tug-of-war! In recent years, the number of Indonesian smokers has increased dramatically. The next generation of the nation is becoming a cigarette addict, their money is used up to burn cigarettes cigarettes. How ironic. The increase in the number of smokers, especially among children, is actually due to the lack of strict regulations and the tug-of-war from the government. Everyone agrees that smoking cigarettes can have negative effects, but we just ignore it. To be honest, the only or dominant consideration is economic considerations. Not the economy of society in general, but consideration of corporate interests. Strange, when the cigarette industry is legalized, while advertising is limited. Because the target of the cigarette industry profit as much as possible. The solution that the author gives is to close the cigarette industry, because the root of the problem lies there. When a leaky water faucet is closed, the source of the leak is not something else. The problem with the closure of tobacco companies will cause many layoffs, losses for tobacco farmers, reduced state revenues from cigarette excise, and so on. Another problem! The critical question is, how long will the policies in this country fail to find a solution. Say hello we don't make any breakthroughs to provide jobs for cigarette factory workers if the cigarette factory is closed. There is also no breakthrough to replace tobacco with other plants that are more useful for society. Indonesia is actually rich in both natural resources and human resources. Why can't we empower it all? The role of the state/ruler should be able to resolve this matter. What is very concerning is that the government has simplified the problem. For example, by appointing anti-smoking ambassadors from among the youth. The task of these ambassadors is to socialize the dangers of smoking to others, while cigarette production and advertising continues. Whenever there is a generational problem, the government is busy appointing ambassadors. Generations become victims, generations are also encouraged to build awareness of others. Wow, messy!

Indonesia is a very rich country, rich in culture and customs. One of the riches of the Indonesian nation is the variety of languages throughout the country to be preserved as the cultural heritage of the archipelago. Many youths consider the local language to be ancient, undeveloped and out of trend. Not a few young people today are proud to use a foreign language compared to their local language. The lack of pride in using local languages increasingly makes this archipelago's cultural heritage lost and eroded by the times. There are a few young people who are afraid that their growth period will not develop if they learn the local language. The lack of optimal comprehensive socialization to the younger generation about the importance of preserving regional languages has contributed to the loss of regional languages to the times. Indonesia has 718 regional languages whose existence must be protected because they are heritage as well as national identity. The commemoration of International Mother Language Day 2022 is a very good momentum to introduce the richness of regional languages in Indonesia. In addition, to encourage local speakers to pass on their mother tongue to the next generation, “In an effort to preserve the endangered language and literature, we as Indonesian youths and as students take several approaches. One of them, speaking in regional languages, incorporating regional languages into the school curriculum, and holding competitions and competitions about regional languages.  +
The story of Hasan and Hasni's twin brothers who face various challenges in realizing their desire to find the whereabouts of their older brother in Marege  +
In today's era technology is developing rapidly. As if there are no boundaries between one place and another, and foreign languages have entered the surrounding area, such as English and the slang of young people. Unfortunately, the local language is not like that, even though it is our identity. If this happens without a successor, it will disappear over time that even young people don't care about the local language However, that doesn't mean it can't be solved. There are things that young people can do. How is that? So, before moving on, it is necessary to know what causes at least people to use the local language? The reason is because it is not needed and rarely heard. That is the reason for the lack of use of local languages. So, what can young people do? First, young people voiced their voice regarding the mandatory use of local languages starting from government officials, if officials started using it, the community would automatically follow. Second, involve youth leaders. With the help of social media, then make a viral and “challenge using local language” and involve influencers so that they can influence other young people to join, so that the quality of the local language is promoted and used by many people. If these two things are done as a first step, then the local language will automatically be used by young people, especially if it involves local influencers, it will go viral like the local language term that is often used by local influencer Tumming Abu That's what young people can speak out so that the local language is timeless, and applied in everyday life, teaching it to the closest people, relatives or other relatives.
