Road improvements in areas outside Makassar are essential to improve accessibility and the economy. Good roads can support the transportation of goods and people, and reduce travel time. In addition, road infrastructure improvements also contribute to the safety of road users. It is expected that the government pays attention to the quality of work and maintenance so that this investment provides long-term benefits for the community.  +

In my opinion, candidates for regional heads should prioritize improving the quality of education, as equitable and high-quality education can create a better and more competitive generation. Additionally, infrastructure development is crucial to support economic activities and public mobility. Good infrastructure, such as roads and bridges, will ease access to different regions and promote economic growth. Equally important, public welfare should be a key focus. Regional leaders need to ensure that healthcare services, job opportunities, and social welfare are available and accessible to all levels of society.  +
I think that recently the level of sexual harassment in INDONESIA has increased. As we know, information has been circulating everywhere regarding the incident that recently occurred in Makassar, more precisely at HASANUDDIN UNIVERSITY. This information shows that around 4 female students are suspected of experiencing sexual harassment by their final assignment supervisors since 2023 and there are many other cases. I think the issue of sexual harassment against women is very important to discuss and act on, because of the lack of further handling by the government and society. And I really hope this will have a good impact on us women and those out there so that we feel safe to continue our daily lives  +

In my opinion, sports facilities in this city are very limited and require serious attention. One of the main problems is the lack of a stadium that meets FIFA standards, which is crucial for supporting the development of football and providing a proper venue for official matches. As we know, the pride of Makassar, Mattoangin Stadium, has been demolished due to plans for renovation by the government, but so far, there has been no clear progress. In addition, the existing swimming pools do not meet FINA standards, making it difficult for swimmers to train optimally. The training fields are also inadequate and far from FIFA standards, which certainly affects the quality of training and athlete development in various sports. The lack of these facilities hinders the potential of sports in the city and makes it difficult for local athletes to compete at the national and international levels. Just look at South Sulawesi's position in the PON Sumut standings, which is far below expectations. The government and relevant parties need to immediately improve and upgrade these facilities so that sports in our city can develop more effectively.  +
Currently, society has a major role in preventing hoaxes. Why? Because society is the final destination for hoax production. If the public has knowledge and critical thinking, the hoaxes circulating will not be able to cause various polemics. "One bullet can only kill one person, but one hoax can kill thousands of people." That's a fact, we can see in history how hoaxes can cause wars, genocide and conflicts that cause the division of a nation. The development of hoaxes is currently experiencing very rapid development. This development was triggered by developments in information technology.  +

This time I would like to raise the issue about street safety in Makassar, especially at night. It seems to me that the streets in Makassar even during the day sometimes still have a lot of crazy people running around, racing “wild” and many others. Especially at night, the streets in Makassar are still full of people fighting, clay bows, wild racing on public streets, begal and many others. I think the streets in Makassar are very unsafe.  +

I think the government should consider the amount of tax that should be paid by everyone, especially for workers who have mediocre income. Moreover, the tax should be used in right way because it is a regional income. For instance, if there's a public facility broken, it has to be fixed or even changed. However, if the tax has another function or being different from this statement, I still strongly suggest to the government to be fair about it. I mean, it must be used as the function, I mean not to use in "wrong" way.  +
Clean water is a basic need for all living things in the world, especially for human life. However, in many areas in Indonesia, access to clean water is still a serious problem that has a direct impact on the health, welfare, and quality of life of the community. Prospective regional heads who want to bring about significant change must make this issue a top priority in their campaigns and work programs. The difficulty in obtaining clean water is not only a technical problem, but also a social and environmental problem that requires integrated and sustainable solutions. According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Ministry of Health, access to clean water in Indonesia is still far from equal. Many areas in Indonesia, both rural and suburban, especially in the eastern and interior regions, still do not have adequate access to clean water. Geographical factors, limited infrastructure, and lack of attention from local governments are the main causes. For example, in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and Papua, many people have to walk for hours just to get water from water sources that are not even hygienic and not necessarily suitable for consumption. Meanwhile, in urban areas, the problems faced are the limited availability of clean drinking water services and increasing water pollution due to industrial activities and household waste. This shows that the issue of clean water is not only about the existence of water sources, but also how the water is managed and distributed properly. Lack of access to clean water not only affects public health, but also has an impact on economic and social aspects. Time spent collecting water reduces opportunities for residents to work or study. In addition, polluted water can cause various diseases, such as diarrhea, skin infections, to more serious diseases such as cholera, resulting in increased mortality rates and decreased quality of life. For prospective regional heads, solving the problem of clean water is a real way to improve the quality of life of the community in the areas they lead. By ensuring the availability of clean water, prospective regional heads not only reduce the risk of disease, but also provide opportunities for the community to get access to adequate and suitable public services. Several concrete steps that can be taken by prospective regional heads to overcome the problem of clean water. First, improve and expand water management infrastructure. This includes the construction and repair of pipe networks, water treatment installations, the provision of drilled wells, water filtration systems, and the provision of water tanks in areas that often experience drought can be a short-term solution. Second, encourage cooperation between local governments, the private sector and international institutions to accelerate the provision of technology and funding for clean water programs. Third, strengthen regulations related to the protection of water resources, including the prohibition of industrial and household waste disposal that pollutes water. On the other hand, climate change is also worsening the problem of water availability. More frequent droughts due to changes in weather patterns are making clean water reserves increasingly limited. Floods, which are an annual problem in several areas, also pollute existing water sources. Therefore, these environmental challenges must be the main concern of regional head candidates in formulating sustainable clean water policies.
Infrastructure is the facilities that are needed by the community and can be used both physically and non-physically, generally the word infrastructure refers to physical development for public facilities such as roads, bridges, schools and for non-physical in the form of education systems, government systems, legal systems and many more. According to a leading economist from the United States who is widely recognised for his contributions to the field of macroeconomics, N Gregory Mankiw argues that in economics infrastructure is a form of public capital or public capital consisting of bridges, public roads, sewer systems, and others as one of the investments made by the government. Infrastructure is very important for a region because it can have an impact on improving the economy in the area and realising the fulfilment of the basic rights of its people such as food, clothing, shelter, security, education and health. However, that there are still some small areas that are mostly a concern for local residents i have a problem of infrastructure, especially in the access to roads and clean water. Not a few of the remote areas that can be said to be a part that still has not inadequate infrastructure such as the difficulty of road access in the area. For example, in the area of Jl. Manggarupi at the back of Jl. Letnan Jenderal Hertasning, Makassar, the road access in the area is still gravel and not asphalt, which can be dangerous for vehicle crossing the road, and some areas in Makassar that have many populated still often experience problems with clean water because one of the factors is the inadequate water infrastructure, for example in Tallo, Birangkanaya, Tamalanrea, Manggala, Pampang, and so on. As a candidate for regional head it is very important to pay attention to the infrastructure of the region because it has a direct impact on the welfare of the community and the progress of the region, regions that have adequate infrastructure tend to be able to attract investors to invest in the area and can minimise inequality between regions that are uneven, especially on road access and clean water because it has a direct impact on the community by improving road access and access to clean water can show the community if their regional head candidates have concern for the basic needs of the community. Access to roads and access to clean water is a very important foundation if both are problematic then the development of the region is hampered and the people are not prosperous, the efforts or solutions that must be made as regional heads later if elected, the solution to road access is, must make budget allocations for road construction funds and regular and adequate infrastructure maintenance, utilising modern technology in construction for time efficiency and providing the best quality to the community, and providing labour training and education to local communities so that they can properly maintain road access infrastructure facilities, and the solution for clean water access is the construction of boreholes that are evenly distributed so that every local community has access to clean water and has a good water system treatment so that the quality of water received can meet health standards.

Indonesia needs to be aware of the importance of sexual education from an early age because learning is focused on curriculum-based teaching and learning about the cognitive, emotional, physical and social aspects of sexuality.  +
According to current issues, candidates for regional head should prioritize several key areas. First, improving the quality of public services, such as equal access to healthcare and education. Second, developing infrastructure that supports local economic growth, like roads, markets, and transportation facilities. Third, sustainable environmental management, including waste handling and water resource management. Finally, the candidate must focus on increasing transparency and accountability in governance to maintain public trust.  +
According to data from sulselprov.go.id, Makassar is the region with the largest population in South Sulawesi, reaching 1,474,393 people or approximately 15.7% of the total population of the province. On the other hand, data on public transportation from jusman.co.id shows that there are currently 639 operational pete-pete (minibuses) and 87 units of Teman Bus (public buses), making the total number of public transportation units in Makassar 726 in 2024. Assuming the average capacity of a pete-pete is 10 passengers and the average capacity of a Teman Bus is about 30 passengers, the total capacity of public transportation in Makassar reaches 9,000 passengers. Despite the city’s population exceeding 1.4 million, calculations show that only about 0.61% of the population is covered by public transportation. This figure reflects the reality that Makassar, which claims to be a "World City," is unable to meet even 1% of its citizens' transportation needs. Ironically, despite having had 20 individuals serve as mayors of Makassar, none have consistently prioritized the development of public transportation. The existence of Teman Bus, which has been widely used in recent years, is an initiative from the central government rather than a result of city policy. This situation underscores the urgent need for serious attention to the development of transportation infrastructure to improve the quality of life for Makassar's residents, especially considering that not all citizens can afford private vehicles for their daily mobility. Competent candidates for public office should recognize this issue and undertake the revitalization of transportation infrastructure. While the results may not be immediately visible or evenly distributed, such efforts are essential, as demonstrated by DKI Jakarta, which was able to make significant improvements in just five years, reaching even the smallest alleys.  +
