The presence of refugees and asylum seekers continues to be a controversial issue.
The background is the existence of problems or conflicts in the country of origin which forces people to want to go to a safer place. The refugee problem is an issue which involves more than one country, including Indonesia. Based on data from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), during 2020 at least 82.4 million people in the world were forced to move countries, and the numbers are trending up. As of September 2021, UNHCR recorded the number of refugees registered in Indonesia reached 13,273 people. Of these, 73 percent are adults and 27 percent are children, of which 7,458 are from Afghanistan, 1,364 people from Somalia, 707 people from Myanmar, 677 people from Iraq, and the rest from other countries.
The number of refugees continue to increase every year and has led to various problems in handling them in Indonesia. There’s not yet optimal arrangements for handling refugees in Indonesian laws and regulations which has resulted in the handling of foreign refugees in Indonesia being not well coordinated and well integrated, especially regarding the determination of refugee status, the time period for refugees, and local government budget contributions.
When we hear or see a natural disaster or humanitarian tragedy, of course, we as humans who have a social spirit will also be concerned and try to help as much as we can. Sometimes aid for disaster victims is accompanied by other interests such as political interests, the interests of spreading religion, business interests, and so on which makes a help seem insincere. Official visits promoting self-image is also rampant even though the assistance provided is usually not that much, not comprehensive and tends to be late. On the other hand, sometimes other people also need our help if they are is in a difficult condition because humans are actually created to help each other.
"The best thing in life to hold on to is to share with one another."
Refugees are defined as those who leave their country due to war, violence,
persecution or other serious human rights violations. whether for reasons of race, nationality,
religion or political opinion. Most of the refugees were unable to return to their homeland
because they were too afraid of the danger to return. They are sometimes referred to as
Asylum Seekers. Until that person has been granted “refugee” status by UNHCR, the person and
status as a refugee does not depend on official registration with UNHCR or the government
of the country hosting the asylum seeker. Refugees who do not apply for asylum and those
who apply for asylum but are denied by UNHCR or national authorities retain refugee status. Two decades ago Salima Rehman was one of the few refugee girls who attended Barakat
Elementary School in the western city of Islamabad. capital city of pakistan Now, at 29, she
is standing in front of a class of about 30 refugee girls at the same school in white doctor
gowns.
“Anyone here wants to be a doctor?” she asked with a smile.
About 12 hands were raised in the floor. “So good that you want to grow up to be a doctor.
Study harder and never give up,” she told the children.
Her father, Abdul, swore to himself that if his son could survive, He will do whatever it takes
for himself or his daughter to get an education and become a doctor.
He fulfilled his promise and encouraged his daughter to attend school. Despite facing
criticism from his own community, many among them were unhappy with the idea of giving
girls the desire to go out and get married.
Salima fulfilled her dream earlier this year. She opened a private clinic in Attok to serve
refugees and local women struggling to find affordable access to health care.
Success at this point is accumulating years of schoolwork and dedication that goes beyond
crossing “When I was a child I didn't know my refugee status,” she said, “but I started to find
out when my classmates were accepted to colleges. In tertiary and I did not because I was a
refugee. cultural norms. Her refugee status was another obstacle she had to overcome. Salima tried to apply for two years until she was chosen as the only refugee of the year to
study medicine in Pakistan's Punjab state. She made a specialization in gynecology after
being selected as a resident doctor at Rawalpindi Holy Family Hospital in Punjab.
Today, Salima's story and her work are making a difference. Some of the most anti-education
of girls in her community called Salima to seek health advice for their wives, daughters and
sisters. and many have sent their daughters to school in the hope that the children will follow
the path of Salima as well.
Young people today are increasingly politically active, with more young people participating in elections than ever before. This shift in political engagement is driven by a variety of factors, including the rise of youth-led social movements, increased awareness of political issues through social media, and the impact of youth-led campaigns and voter registration efforts. In this essay, we will explore the power of youth in shaping the political landscape, the diversity of young people's political views, and the challenges facing youth participation in elections.
One of the most notable trends in recent years has been the increasing participation of younger generations in elections. This shift has largely been driven by the rise of youth-led social movements, such as the March for Our Lives movement, founded by students in response to the school shooting in Parkland, Florida. These movements have helped raise awareness of political issues among the younger generation and encouraged them to get more involved in politics. In addition, social media has played an important role in raising political awareness among the younger generation. Platforms such as Instagram, Twitter and TikTok have become important tools for political organizing and activism, providing spaces for young people to share information and mobilize around issues that matter to them. The impact of youth-led campaigns and voter registration efforts has also been significant, with many young people feeling empowered to make a difference in their communities.
Despite the increasing trend of young people's political engagement, there is a diversity of political views among young people. The emergence of new political ideologies among young voters, such as democratic socialism and libertarianism, has challenged traditional political narratives and opened up new avenues for political discourse. Family, culture and education also play an important role in shaping young people's political views. For example, young people from immigrant families may have a different perspective on issues such as immigration and border security than those from families with a long history in the United States. Social media also plays a role in shaping political discourse among young people, with platforms such as Twitter and Instagram providing spaces for young people to engage in political discussions and share their views.
Despite the increasing trend of youth political engagement, there are still many challenges that young people face in participating in elections. Young people may face limited access to resources for voting, such as transportation and polling locations, which can make it difficult for them to participate in the political process. Finally, many young people are disillusioned with the political process and lack trust in government institutions, making them less likely to participate in elections.
In conclusion, the power of youth in shaping the political landscape cannot be underestimated. With increased political awareness and engagement among the younger generation, we are seeing a shift in political discourse and a diversification of political ideologies. However, there are still many challenges that young people face in participating in elections. It is important that we work to overcome these challenges and ensure that all voices are heard in the political process.

In the current video, I explain my obstacles in undergoing learning during the covid-19 pandemic and how my solutions are in overcoming these obstacles. +
Adolescents are the group of individuals who are most vulnerable to mental disorders. Mental health is affected by events in the life of the deceased which have a great impact on a person's personality and behavior. In adolescents, the common mental health problems experienced are PTSD, ADHD, generalized anxiety disorder, eating disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and depression. Mental disorders in adolescents often lead to suicide. The characteristics of mental health disorders in adolescents are unable to control emotions, changes in inappropriate behavior, decreased school achievement, sleep and eating disorders, bad habits. Efforts that can be made for health to prevent mental health are maintaining positive thoughts, having the ability to overcome problems, seeking professional help, maintaining good relationships with others. +
The practice of money politics can be detrimental to healthy democratic principles. General elections that are supposed to reflect the will of the people can be distorted due to unhealthy financial influences, which in the end can harm the quality of political representation. +
Realizing that the place where they fled and built a tent was not far from the Office of Social Affairs, they then tried to meet an official equal to the head of the field and tell them about the problems and basic needs needed, mainly rice, proper blankets for the tent. But for various reasons and had to wait days to get what he asked for.
While at almost the same time, and several days in a row, the need for similar assistance that had previously been requested, by several others, was immediately provided in sufficient quantities, it was later discovered that the other victims referred to were close relatives of the officials concerned.
Injustice in the distribution of aid, not only violates humanitarian principles, further risks creating pressure that can threaten the safety of the survivors, as well as create disillusionment with local government authorities.
Because of the questions mentioned, it is not surprising that approximately one week after the disaster, the survivors in the Donggala area eventually died due to starvation. +
Evacuation in my opinion is a temporary shelter that is generally intended for people affected by disasters/disasters, such as when the earthquake and tsunami hit Palu and its surroundings in Central Sulawesi on September 28, 2018, approximately 2,000 bodies were found. However, the exact death toll is very small considering that a number of residential areas were swept away by the tsunami and liquefaction, thus burying many people. And in my opinion, there are still many disaster residents whose rights and needs have not been met, starting from the housing aspect. And in my opinion, the distribution of government aid to tsunami victims is uneven, examples of development have not reached remote areas, so that people in remote areas feel that there is justice by the government because access is not considered, only in urban areas. areas where infrastructure is being built. In Palu alone, there are around 4000 families who cannot be accommodated and they are still living in refugee camps, as well as refugees struggling to get basic needs, clean water, and othiers. One of the most crucial is the lack of food and beverage logistics supplies in the affected areas. The amount of aid sent by the central government through the Ministry of Social Affairs on the first day after the earthquake and tsunami was insignificant compared to the number of refugees estimated at tens of thousands of people. And approximately 6 months after the earthquake followed by the tsunami that hit Palu, Sigi, and Donggala in Central Sulawesi, thousands of people still live in refugee camps. +
In the city of Wakanda, the place where the lost light of belief resides, there appears a hero named "Apathy-Man" he has the power to turn disbelief into a positive force. Whenever he touches someone who feels hopeless about the government, colorful lights shine from the palm of his hand, replacing doubt with a passion to participate in change. With his presence, he formed a youth alliance committed to building a more transparent and inclusive government, rescuing victims of unfair policies and embracing youth who had lost hope. Seeing the spirit of change blazing among youth, the Mayor of Wakanda decided to form a reform team consisting of competent officials who were committed to creating a more transparent and responsive government. Starting with designing policies that support community participation in decision making. It opens up more open channels of communication and gives people greater access to voice their opinions. Through this initiative, he is trying to rebuild trust between the government and society. With collaboration between youth and a committed government, the city of Wakanda is a successful example of how youth with dreams and a responsive government can come together to shape a brighter future. This is a story about how hope and collective action can change the destiny of a city. And that was the end of the dream of a young man who was sleeping during his afternoon nap hmm.. What do you hope for? Hoping that everything will be solved by a hero with superpowers? Haha, in the end nothing will be resolved without a step forward from the youth and a solution from a government that sincerely wants to change +
We as social creatures, our lives rely on someone or not from the help of others and when the refugees
are around me the attitude and responsibility I am to help them because as Muslims where we are
taught to always help brothers or other creatures and forms of empathy that I might be doing is to
provide a place for them to feel safer than where they are before and make them more comfortable so
that they will never experience and comfort them so that they can't repeat themselves or feel
responsible for them so that we can't feel more safe, but what I want to do is history to feel more
responsible for them, but at the same way, it is also looking for me to be yourself, but who can't be
yourself ahead of them, as long as possible and do so that you can take a place to feel more safe and
answer, it is also like in the good times that I will be yourself in the habit to be yourself in advance and
more safe and more. Because it's very sore when we see someone who needs our assistance even
though we are able to help it but we can't move to do something that can save or remove them from
their suffering points and indeed when we want to start a good intention of them, it will be very difficult
because there will be many other people who don't think they are in the eyes of the same life, but when
we want to do it's us to do it's when we intend to make good or we are in the first place, it will not be. +
4 years after the eruption, merapi had eruption again. The mountain who had 2930 mdpl high got eruption and called as a the biggest eruption in a last 100 years. This volcanic eruption at 2010 made 337 victim died.Mbah maridjan the one who lifed in merapi being one of the victim.Merapi is the one of active volcano mountain in Indonesia who located in Yogyakarta and magelang central java.
The victim of this disaster got lose so many thing, their family, their house, and eeetc. There was 388 ppeople who died in this disaster,a half of them was go far away from merapi to keep safe their life,3000 property was broke, and the flight was ddeclined. The loss is 1,3 million.BNPB reported that in Indonesia there is 954 disaster from 1 january – 16 march of 2022
The natural disaster is a disaster who made of a move that caused of earthquake, tsunami, eruption of volcano and etc. So many people being their victim and need our help.We can donated anything we have to safe their life and make them happy. We can gave them a place to life because they lost their house. We also can gave a help such a food, cloth, book and etc.
There must be emergency equipment needed for disaster victims to survive such as emergency tents, cooking utensils, electric generators, emergency lights, heavy equipment for evacuation of victims, emergency water pumps, medical equipment, blankets, eating and drinking utensils, and so on.
Counseling, spiritual and moral assistance is also needed because disasters can cause people to become stressed to depression and also crazy. Then there must also be transportation assistance (land, sea, air) to distribute aid for disaster victims, to move disaster victims from one place to another. No less important is the assistance of the rescue team to save disaster victims who are still trapped in the rubble, as well as the assistance of the medical team to maintain the health of disaster victims. It should also not be forgotten that there is security assistance from the police to the military to secure the assets of disaster victims and the government. And lastly, capital or employment assistance is needed in order to start life after the disaster.
"Houses belonging to 14 families (KK) and 51 people were damaged by landslides." , He said.
Of the total affected residents, as many as 69 families or 296 people had to evacuate to a safer location. For now, he said, a joint team from the Bogor Regency BPDP was also assisted by the PUPR Service, Babinsa, local village officials, village limnas, Satpol PP, and also a number of other community elements to collect data and evacuate victims.
The village has built an emergency post, a public kitchen, and a health post to help the injured.
Recently there was another landslide disaster in this area, there were around 242 victims, residents continued to evacuate to safe places. The refugees were very worried and caused a sense of trauma due to the landslide, so they felt sad and that's where we must realize that we must keep our environment clean so that landslides do not occur. And as students we must provide assistance, be it medical assistance, clothing, or money. For this reason, let's friends help the refugees, so they can ease their burden due to landslides.
The problem of refugees, the occurrence of landslides due to the large number of felling trees so that the forest is bare, causing landslides
In my opinion, landslides occur because there are no trees which causes too much water to be stored on the ground, resulting in landslides and casualties. +
Cats are one of the most comfortable, free and safe places to vent because they won't respond to anything. If you want to illustrate, this cat is like a young man who is exposed to political issues, where he would prefer to just remain silent and not care.
If cats don't respond to human comments, perhaps because they don't understand, the same goes for young people who are politically apathetic because they don't understand politics. What exists in the youth paradigm is only the dark side of politics, such as corrupt politicians, politicians who use young people as political fuel, like to seek sympathy at the start, only make promises, and other violations in the political system. Even though politics is not as dirty as imagined, even if politics were carried out according to the constitution, perhaps the condition of a country would be as peaceful as the life of Mr. Gemoy's cat.
Even though they are not interested in politics, young people are often active in criticizing politicians' mistakes in running the political system. But unfortunately, usually young people only actively criticize without providing solutions, in fact they may never
think about solutions to the criticism they voice. However, the solution is the key.
One solution that can be done is to plunge directly into the problem and make changes. It's like if you have a position, you have power. The power to run the political system in accordance with its goals and functions, or in accordance with the criticism expressed by young people towards politicians.
Youth must be aware of the importance of their role in the political realm. Youth are bringers of change because their thoughts, which are always ambitious to move forward in a modern way and are more influential, are more open-minded, more sensitive and have a high humanitarian spirit, make them hopeful in realizing a political world that is healthy and in accordance with the rules.
One of the simplest political participation that may be the first step youth in politics, namely in elections, where the majority of voters are young people. Therefore, it is important for young people to understand politics so that they can make the right choice, where the person chosen can be like the Bugis tribe philosophy, namely "siri na pacce" which means maintaining self-esteem so that they are always responsible so that their self-esteem is not tarnished, so that their potential or The hope of representing them is also to convey the interests and hear the aspirations of the people, as well as bringing change and progress to the country. And of course being a good example for society, especially young people, so that they again believe in politics and participate in it.
The Deputy for Coordination of Security and Public Order at the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Carlo B. Tewu, revealed that the problem of refugees in Indonesia has become a serious concern for the Indonesian government. According to Carlo, the government has made various efforts to deal with the refugee issue. This was conveyed at the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) on the Implementation of Presidential Regulation Number 125 of 2016 Concerning the Handling of Refugees From Abroad, in Bali, April 4 2018. "Various efforts have been made by the Indonesian government in handling refugees from abroad, among others through the establishment the desk for handling refugees from abroad and people smuggling by the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs," said Carlo as quoted from a press release from the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs, Wednesday (4/4/2018). In addition, continued Carlo, the government has issued Presidential Decree No. 125/2016 and strengthen coordination with related Ministries/Agencies and Agencies in the regions. According to Carlo, the participation of local governments is the key in handling refugees from abroad as regulated in Presidential Decree no. 125/2016. Regarding the supervision of refugees and asylum seekers in temporary shelters, the government regions need to formulate rules or regulations with the Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim) by adjusting local customs and wisdom. "In the Presidential Regulation it is explained that the district/city government needs to provide temporary shelter for refugees from abroad by taking into account the conditions, facilities and criteria according to the mandate of the Presidential Regulation," said Carlo. The issue of refugees and asylum seekers has become one of the issues that has received the most attention both domestically and internationally. Based on data from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the number of refugees and asylum seekers in recent years has continued to increase and there have been more than 22 million refugees and asylum seekers at the global level. Most refugees and asylum seekers are in developing countries such as Turkey, Pakistan, Lebanon, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. The number of refugees and asylum seekers in Turkey alone reached 2.9 million people and 1.4 million people in Pakistan. Meanwhile, in Lebanon, there are about 1 million refugees and asylum seekers and about 100,000 people each in Thailand and Malaysia. In Indonesia, there are 13,840 people, consisting of 9,795 refugees and 4,045 asylum seekers. "Judging from this number, it is not too big, but we need to be aware of the negative impacts that may occur, both from the ideological, political, socio-cultural, legal and security aspects," said Carlo. "UNHCR, one of the UN agencies dealing directly with issues handling refugees noted that in recent years, the refugee crisis has become the worst refugee crisis since the second World War, "he continued. Asylum seekers and refugees from various countries in Indonesia continue to increase. They come from Myanmar, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Somalia and a number of Middle Eastern countries.Researcher from the Institute of International Studies (IIS) Department of International Relations UGM Yogyakarta Atin Prabandari said data from the United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to date has 14,405 people. One third of them occupy 13 immigration detention houses. in Indonesia. Yunizar revealed, one example The implementation of Presidential Regulation 125 Year 2016 has not been maximized is the involvement of local governments in allocating APBD to deal with these foreign refugees. According to him, the rights that are not fulfilled are detrimental to refugees and searchers asylum. "They can wait 25 years before being transferred to the destination country. During that waiting time, they do not get access to jobs and education," he explained. Meanwhile, National Program Officer L-Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) Fransisca Dwi Indah Asmiarsi said that access to work for foreign refugees is crucial so that they can survive. "For those who occupy the immigration detention house, it is very difficult for them," he said. In contrast to foreign refugees who mingle with the local community. They have more opportunities to find work, even if just to survive. "We have observed that in Bogor, there is a good relationship between foreign refugees and the local community," he said. According to him, what is seen in Bogor is only one example of success. Elsewhere, it turns out that there are many problems faced. The foreign refugees also asked to be able to occupy the detention house. The problem, he said, was that immigration detention centers in Indonesia, such as in Kalideres, Pekanbaru and Medan, were already over capacity. They had to be rejected. In the end, the foreign refugees chose to build a tent around the detention house.
In long political history, the dynamics of identity actually run deep The level of fiction is defined not as things that "don't exist" but are tied to each other in uniform or intersubjective beliefs. That in the end it always is leads humans to unique and deeply terrifying social and political dynamics certain periods. Political parties are defined as "organizations that are national in nature and formed by a group of Indonesian citizens voluntarily on the basis of equality of will and ideals to fight for and defend the political interests of members, society, nation and state and maintain the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution" (UU 2/2008 concerning Political Parties as amended with Law 2/2011). In an effort to fight for and defend his political interests, Political parties often use various methods which are of course within the party's ideals Politics always takes place in the spaces of implementing the nation's ideals of independence as well strengthening Indonesian politics and democracy. but, in the process it is often used things that will erode democracy itself. The decline of democracy in this article interpreted as a political cultural behavior that prioritizes the spirit of identity of each each and forgetting the interests of the general public. The simple impact of this phenomenon is a biased view of ideology as the basis of political parties in their efforts to transform their values in everything form of state policy. What emerged was pragmatism and political sentiment as well the prominence of identity politics in all forms of behavior coupled with gimmicks intriguing political gimmick. It is not surprising, then, that identity politics itself will become Undoubtedly, pragmatically, this is the most concrete effort to remain maintain the constituent base. Although over a long period of time, political use identity will have a chronic impact on the country's political democracy.

The latest issue regarding world conflicts is the outbreak of war between Russia and
Ukraine. Ukraine, which became the center where the war erupted, is of great concern.
People are victims of everything. News informs that they have left their homes, their country
to seek protection and security in a neighboring country. One quote I've heard says; no one
wants to leave his house, in a state of chaos and seek refuge, so we as human beings with a
sense of humanity, embrace our brothers and sisters, for the sake of peace.
Indonesia has also been oppressed long ago. Even though we of today's generation didn't
feel the bloodshed back then, it's clear that it crossed our minds how terrible the people at
that time were. Women, children, and the elderly who do not have the power to fight back
will only become victims.
There is nothing more beautiful than the peace of one world. If embracing war victims who
decide to flee to nearby countries can bring about peace, let's do it with all our humanity. +
