The election is getting closer, Indonesia's heart keeps beating, Indonesia's fate is in the hands of strong youth, to become a wise nation. Today's youth are in the phase of choosing a path that will shape their future. Many Indonesian youth are thinking about their future and life goals, especially for the future of Indonesia. As the future of the Indonesian nation, today's youth must care and not be apathetic towards the election. They should think critically and create their ideas, thus improving the quality of democracy in our country. The selection of leaders in Indonesia heavily relies on the youth because the 2024 election will be dominated by them. The youth must wisely choose their future leaders by identifying their vision and mission. In this way, the people of Indonesia can prosper and thrive. Choose based on what is discussed, not who is speaking.  +
I think it was such a good opportunity to have the gut of a young folks that is brave and loves to share their opinion.  +
In bold learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, students faced many obstacles, such as: The location of the house is not covered by the internet network, minimal internet quota, the learning tends to be online assignments, the assignments given are piling up, and the absorption of subject matter is very minimalist. So we as students must always be ready to prepare everything. We must be able to find a stable network so that we can take online classes so that lectures can run smoothly and well.  +
Konro is a typical Indonesian beef rib soup dish that originates from the Makassar ethnic tradition. This soup is usually made with beef ribs or beef. This blackish brown soup dish is usually eaten with burasa and ketupat which are cut into pieces first. so that everyone knows that konro is a typical food from Makassar. I introduced konro to my friend because my friend hasn't tried konro at all, so I intend to try my friend konro, so he knows how it tastes, what it looks like.  +
Youth is a phase of life marked by exploration, enthusiasm, and a tendency to seek change. In a social context, youth are often considered to have great potential to shape the future direction of society. Youth have a very important role, of course because youth are the next generation for the nation's development, this will be a good thing in the development of the Indonesian nation. The relationship between youth and elections is very tight, including that youth have an important role in being involved in understanding political issues and voting, youth also play a role in building the future of democracy, namely shaping the direction and quality of democracy for future generations, and youth can utilize technology as a means expand reach and potential voters. Political socialization is a process through which society conveys the political culture of a nation. Political participation is important in a democratic country, in building good government, of course the whole community is needed to help make this happen, youth will also be useful in making this happen, especially with social media which is seen as the main tool for improving the quality of political participation in among youth. Youth participation is important for influencing the policies taken by leaders. Young people are seen as having a big influence in elections because of their large numbers and their ability to contribute. For this reason, it is important for the younger generation to realize their role in the upcoming elections and participate actively in politics.  +
In today's modern era, we are increasingly faced with technology and a growing culture, this has an impact on the erosion of cultural values found in Indonesia, especially in South Sulawesi, young people as the nation's next generation who are at the forefront of preserving their culture, in fact not a few who loves foreign cultures more than their own culture, in this case there are several examples of cases that I have encountered in my personal life, for example, appreciation of regional languages, not infrequently I meet my own friends who come from the area when in a big city or urban environment , they tend to be shy about using their own local language, they feel insecure when they have to use their local language in public places where there are city people, this is not without reason, not infrequently I see and feel it myself local people speak their local language in places available general city residents, they will laugh hearing it as if mocking and according to my hypothesis is that city people feel dominant and slang in their city, while regional people who incidentally as immigrants seem tacky and become a minority, therefore local people will limit their dialogue and adapt to the environment cities, things like this should require education about the love of local culture and not be ashamed of it, because if not for ourselves as the next generation of the nation, our language and culture will be eroded by modernization which is said to be cool if compared to the local culture that we have, wherever we are we must continue to use the local language that we have because that is our identity as Indonesians and if we are ashamed to admit it, it can be said that Indonesia, which is rich in diversity, will only leave names because the cultural values that rich in it has become extinct.  +
It is said that the practice of KKN or what is often referred to as Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism has died out since the collapse of Soeharto's cruel regime. However, the reality that is happening now shows that this tyrannical practice still exists and is ingrained in the bodies of every person who is greedy for power. Not without reason, recently a Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court has been proven to have committed a serious violation of the code of ethics and behavior of Constitutional Judges by making a decision that contradicts previously existing rules. Constitutional Judges, who are actually noble institutions that administer the constitution of a country without any intervention from any party, actually clearly carry out a stupid practice by making a decision that will ultimately perpetuate nepotism. So it is not surprising that when discussing elections, many young people will end up acting apathetic. The apathy of the youth is a consequence of every betrayal of the people's representatives in parliament there. Especially in the midst of the current election momentum, we have found many intelligent people who are making promises for a prosperous life. They are smart because everything they do will always use their brains, in fact they are superior to ordinary people who only have brains, they actually have two brains, a bad brain and a good brain. The money brain will always go hand in hand with the money brain for the sake of power. Money thinking or money politics will always be a powerful strategy for them to win a seat in parliament. Therefore, it is not a taboo thing if in the end corrupt practices will continue to occur and become a culture in this country. They will eventually take back the money that these intelligent people pour out after they sit comfortably in parliament. It is the natural nature of humans to be greedy and greedy who don't want to just lose. Until in the end, apathy will become the most appropriate diction that represents every disappointment that is born. It is also felt that all forms of criticism, all forms of resistance will be in vain, because the people's representatives who are supposed to represent the aspirations of the people, have deafened their ears and blinded their consciences because of greed. So if you are faced with an election, it would be better to choose the one with the least bad qualities, because basically none of them are good.
Fire It is known that yesterday at 13.00 on 17 May 2022 there was a fire on Sunu Street, Suangga Village, Tallo District. The fire is thought to have been caused by an electrical short circuit in one of the houses As a result of the incident, 28 families of the 14 affected houses burned down. Luckily, there were no fatalities in this fire. As a result, the affected people had to evacuate temporarily. As social beings we must help each other and help them. I intend to give them my clothes that I no longer want to wear, the clothes are still Good quality. I also intend to give them food like rice, eggs, noodles, water And the spirit to keep them strong. "Let's help and encourage our brothers and sisters who are in refugee camps"  +
Exactly on March 30, 2022, at around 16.00 WITA, a fire occurred on Jalan Abu Bakar Lambogo, Makassar District, Baraya Sub-District, which resulted in the burning of approximately 14 residents' houses and fortunately there were no fatalities. As a result of this incident, several family heads took refuge in the Coal-Baraya Unity Command Post which was made by local residents in mutual cooperation. They fled because their houses were consumed by fire, so there was no place to take shelter and finally local residents made tents as a place for refugees. As a result of this incident, several residents lost their property in the form of housing, clothing, securities/important documents, and some even lost their motorbikes because they were scorched by the red rooster. Therefore, I, as a resident of the area around the incident site, felt very concerned that I made a donation, asking for donations in the form of money, instant noodles, and clothes to be distributed to the people affected by the incident, and coincidentally one of the The victims of the fire were my seniors, so many of my friends and seniors who took part as well as members and older brothers and sisters of the alumni scout bimox scout Makassar front group 09-073 09-074 also participated. And don't forget the aid or donations sent from the government and the INDONESIA RED CROSS for the victims of the fire in the form of blankets, instant noodles, eggs, baby diapers, and much more. *My advice to friends as students is that in every disaster, let us work hand in hand to provide assistance to refugees, especially school uniforms and other school equipment. Because most of the aid for refugees was mostly in the form of food, they forgot to provide assistance in the form of uniforms and other school supplies in the form of books, stationery, shoes and other much-needed items.  +
The increase in prices for primary needs has an impact on several parties. One of them, the scarcity of cooking oil in the market makes public as consumers think more to get it easily. Not only the public, UMKM actors are also affected by this phenomenon of scarcity of primary needs. Moreover, welcoming the month of Ramadan, which usually the prices of basic necessities also increase. So, this is our aspiration as young people in responding to this.  +
The presence of refugees and asylum seekers continues to be a controversial issue. The background is the existence of problems or conflicts in the country of origin which forces people to want to go to a safer place. The refugee problem is an issue which involves more than one country, including Indonesia. Based on data from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), during 2020 at least 82.4 million people in the world were forced to move countries, and the numbers are trending up. As of September 2021, UNHCR recorded the number of refugees registered in Indonesia reached 13,273 people. Of these, 73 percent are adults and 27 percent are children, of which 7,458 are from Afghanistan, 1,364 people from Somalia, 707 people from Myanmar, 677 people from Iraq, and the rest from other countries. The number of refugees continue to increase every year and has led to various problems in handling them in Indonesia. There’s not yet optimal arrangements for handling refugees in Indonesian laws and regulations which has resulted in the handling of foreign refugees in Indonesia being not well coordinated and well integrated, especially regarding the determination of refugee status, the time period for refugees, and local government budget contributions. When we hear or see a natural disaster or humanitarian tragedy, of course, we as humans who have a social spirit will also be concerned and try to help as much as we can. Sometimes aid for disaster victims is accompanied by other interests such as political interests, the interests of spreading religion, business interests, and so on which makes a help seem insincere. Official visits promoting self-image is also rampant even though the assistance provided is usually not that much, not comprehensive and tends to be late. On the other hand, sometimes other people also need our help if they are is in a difficult condition because humans are actually created to help each other. "The best thing in life to hold on to is to share with one another."
Refugees are defined as those who leave their country due to war, violence, persecution or other serious human rights violations. whether for reasons of race, nationality, religion or political opinion. Most of the refugees were unable to return to their homeland because they were too afraid of the danger to return. They are sometimes referred to as Asylum Seekers. Until that person has been granted “refugee” status by UNHCR, the person and status as a refugee does not depend on official registration with UNHCR or the government of the country hosting the asylum seeker. Refugees who do not apply for asylum and those who apply for asylum but are denied by UNHCR or national authorities retain refugee status. Two decades ago Salima Rehman was one of the few refugee girls who attended Barakat Elementary School in the western city of Islamabad. capital city of pakistan Now, at 29, she is standing in front of a class of about 30 refugee girls at the same school in white doctor gowns. “Anyone here wants to be a doctor?” she asked with a smile. About 12 hands were raised in the floor. “So good that you want to grow up to be a doctor. Study harder and never give up,” she told the children. Her father, Abdul, swore to himself that if his son could survive, He will do whatever it takes for himself or his daughter to get an education and become a doctor. He fulfilled his promise and encouraged his daughter to attend school. Despite facing criticism from his own community, many among them were unhappy with the idea of giving girls the desire to go out and get married. Salima fulfilled her dream earlier this year. She opened a private clinic in Attok to serve refugees and local women struggling to find affordable access to health care. Success at this point is accumulating years of schoolwork and dedication that goes beyond crossing “When I was a child I didn't know my refugee status,” she said, “but I started to find out when my classmates were accepted to colleges. In tertiary and I did not because I was a refugee. cultural norms. Her refugee status was another obstacle she had to overcome. Salima tried to apply for two years until she was chosen as the only refugee of the year to study medicine in Pakistan's Punjab state. She made a specialization in gynecology after being selected as a resident doctor at Rawalpindi Holy Family Hospital in Punjab. Today, Salima's story and her work are making a difference. Some of the most anti-education of girls in her community called Salima to seek health advice for their wives, daughters and sisters. and many have sent their daughters to school in the hope that the children will follow the path of Salima as well.
Young people today are increasingly politically active, with more young people participating in elections than ever before. This shift in political engagement is driven by a variety of factors, including the rise of youth-led social movements, increased awareness of political issues through social media, and the impact of youth-led campaigns and voter registration efforts. In this essay, we will explore the power of youth in shaping the political landscape, the diversity of young people's political views, and the challenges facing youth participation in elections. One of the most notable trends in recent years has been the increasing participation of younger generations in elections. This shift has largely been driven by the rise of youth-led social movements, such as the March for Our Lives movement, founded by students in response to the school shooting in Parkland, Florida. These movements have helped raise awareness of political issues among the younger generation and encouraged them to get more involved in politics. In addition, social media has played an important role in raising political awareness among the younger generation. Platforms such as Instagram, Twitter and TikTok have become important tools for political organizing and activism, providing spaces for young people to share information and mobilize around issues that matter to them. The impact of youth-led campaigns and voter registration efforts has also been significant, with many young people feeling empowered to make a difference in their communities. Despite the increasing trend of young people's political engagement, there is a diversity of political views among young people. The emergence of new political ideologies among young voters, such as democratic socialism and libertarianism, has challenged traditional political narratives and opened up new avenues for political discourse. Family, culture and education also play an important role in shaping young people's political views. For example, young people from immigrant families may have a different perspective on issues such as immigration and border security than those from families with a long history in the United States. Social media also plays a role in shaping political discourse among young people, with platforms such as Twitter and Instagram providing spaces for young people to engage in political discussions and share their views. Despite the increasing trend of youth political engagement, there are still many challenges that young people face in participating in elections. Young people may face limited access to resources for voting, such as transportation and polling locations, which can make it difficult for them to participate in the political process. Finally, many young people are disillusioned with the political process and lack trust in government institutions, making them less likely to participate in elections. In conclusion, the power of youth in shaping the political landscape cannot be underestimated. With increased political awareness and engagement among the younger generation, we are seeing a shift in political discourse and a diversification of political ideologies. However, there are still many challenges that young people face in participating in elections. It is important that we work to overcome these challenges and ensure that all voices are heard in the political process.

The practice of money politics can be detrimental to healthy democratic principles. General elections that are supposed to reflect the will of the people can be distorted due to unhealthy financial influences, which in the end can harm the quality of political representation.  +
