Referring to the Asia Care Survey 2024, the most concerned mental disorder is stress or burnout, which is then followed by sleep quality problems. This increase is caused by various factors, one of which is environmental changes driven by the rapid development of information and communication technology which may trigger pressure and social isolation which leads to anxiety, depression, and prolonged stress.</br> In overcoming mental health problems, DAPIL SEWARGA (Skilled Youth Healthy Soul and Body) is needed. The skilled youth referred to in this context are those who are skilled in spiritual (Spiritual Quotient (SQ), Emotional (Emotional Quotient (EQ), and Intellectual (Intelligent Quotient (IQ). In realizing these three aspects, it can be done by: </br> 1. Spiritual Quotient (SQ) is the intelligence of the soul that assists a person to develop themselves as a whole by applying positive values. To apply SQ, it can be done by joining religious science assemblies, following Tarbiyah, and various other religious activities so that youth can increase faith and piety to Allah SWT.</br> 2. Emotional Quotient (EQ) or emotional intelligence is the ability to socialize in society which can be trained with the ability to convey ideas, thoughts to others. The application of EQ can be done by joining youth communities that are oriented towards self-development and careers such as Karang Taruna, mosque youth, and other youth communities. With good communication skills and through training and guidance, it is hoped that these young people will be able to help prevent mental disorders and become real agents of change in society.</br> 3. Intelligence Quotient (IQ) or cognitive intelligence can be channeled with the “Healthy Writing” method, which is an expressive writing therapy to eliminate anxiety disorders, emotions, and excessive stress through writing that can be used as a literary work. Unfortunately, the increasingly dynamic challenges of life have made Indonesian people forget about the importance of maintaining mental health. In fact, good mental health is able to contribution positively to the quality of life that is being lived.</br></br></br>Talking about mental health, my mind was then filled with question regarding 'who is the most responsible for creating good mental health towards the Indonesia young generation?'. In the end, I only have one definite answer, which is FAMILY. The family is the smallest unit of social life that shapes character, values, and norms. Families that are able to carry out their functions well are automatically responsible for creating reliable generations of the nation's successors. Otherwise, Families that don't care about mental health have actually played an active role in creating the next generation of the nation filled with feelings of anxiety.</br></br>Creating an environment that supports mental health for the young generation can't be done instantly. As a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I look forward to being involved in a program to raise awareness of the importance of mental health targeting parents at the elementary school level. As an effort to realize this, close synergy is needed with various elementary schools, universities, and Psychology Institutions registered in the Indonesian Psychological Association (HIMPSI). I imagine that on Saturday/Sunday morning, all schools in Indonesia are compactly and enthusiastically holding parenting classes to provide insight and encourge parents to prioritize children's emotional and social development in their parenting practices. The class became a knowledge transfer room for Psychologists in the field of child development towards parents as guardians of students. Furthermore, psychology students or psychology graduates can act as assistants who help the class succeed. I am aware that this idea requires time and hard work to see the results that we dream of together in the future, namely a 2045 Golden Indonesia vision without an Anxious Generation. </br></br>I am optimistic that this idea is sure to be implemented by determining pilot schools in several provinces in Indonesia. Reflecting on the success of the Wahid Institute, a NGO that carry out the 'Sekolah Damai' project until finally being able to encourage the practice of tolerance in many schools in Indonesia. Therefore, the 'Sikola Ammarakai' or "School of Parenting (SoP)" project is expected to be able to encourage the realization of parenting practices that support positive mental health for children who will be the future leaders of the nation. </br></br>This belief comes when I read data about the number of first degree study programs in Psychology in Indonesia-precisely in 2024-which has reached 205 universities, which means that Indonesia has many talents who are ready to take a role to realize the success of this program. They can be an important reinforcement for child development Psychologists, which we all know are still limited in number in Indonesia. Furthermore, schools can provide support and assistance to build children's social skills, so that they are mentally ready to become social beings who can adapt to all challenges in their environment.
